The Fastiques Rod & Custom of Southern Ohio, Inc. is a street vintage car club based in Owensville, Ohio. The club was founded in 1973. Members own a variety of cars, 1970 or older. Member’s cars range from street rods, customs and restored classics. Fastiques is a chapter affiliate of the National Street Rod Association. Currently the club has fifty member families. The club’s annual show, ‘The Pumpkin Run Nationals’, will celebrate its 38th anniversary this year. This event fills the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville, Ohio, on the first Sunday of October and the Friday and Saturday preceeding. The Pumpkin Run Nationals is the largest car show in Southwest Ohio, with an average display of 2800 vintage cars and trucks.
The Fastiques held last years annual Awards and Appreciation Banquet on Sunday, December 1, 2013. The event was held at the Fastiques Building on the Clermont County Fairgrounds. The club hosts this event each year to thank the many volunteers that help make The Pumpkin Run Nationals a growing success, in addition to showing appreciation to supporters. Fastiques presented donations to various charities. Among the recipients were Shriner’s Burn Hospital for Children, receiving $50,000., which brings the total in donations from the club to the hospital to over $850,000. Other notable charities receiving donations from the club in 2013 are – The Earth Angel Foundation (a program that grants a wish to terminally ill children) and The Hillbilly Clan (which provides assistance to crippled children).
